I started making ceramics a year ago. What drew me to ceramics was a combination of the ability to make something physical with my own two hands and the science that is involved in the process. The moment that I find myself in a ceramics studio, I feel a sense of peace wash over me.

In my practice, the texture of my pots is especially important to me. I love exploring ways to carve away the clay in order to give a certain surface. As I go further into my work with ceramics, I plan to work more closely with different glazes, specifically making my own.

The projects and series that I am currently working on are my cat pots and a currently untitled series.
